Provided it works forever I'm ok with _this_ version of "copy protection".
Having said that I really disagree with LGP's methods of counting the number
of pirated software users.
Seeding the web with copies of your software and then being surprised and
annoyed when people download it is like giving a child a lolly and smacking
him when he eats it.

The ancients who wished to demonstrate illustrious virtue throughout the
empire first ordered well their own states.
Wishing to order their own states, they first regulated their families.
Wishing to regulate their families, they first cultivated their persons.
Wishing to cultivate their persons they first rectified their hearts.
Wishing to rectify their hearts, they first sought to be sincere in their

Wishing to be sincere in their thoughts, they first extended to the utmost
their knowledge. Such extension of knowledge lay in the investigation of
things - Confucius
